چکیده
The KC-46A Pegasus, a Boeing 767 (B767) commercial derivative aircraft (CDA), is key part of the United States Air Force’s (USAF) efforts to modernize their aging tanker fleet. Department Defense (DoD) and USAF have heavily emphasized desire need for Condition-Based Maintenance Plus (CBM+) improve maintenance programs such as KC-46A. This study reviews existing CBM+ practices on B767 related fleets at Delta Lines identify initial steps implementing in KC-46 program. Specifically, comparative vacuum monitoring (CVM) sensors are proposed structural health (SHM) Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)-certified technology. As demonstrated Technical Operations (Delta TechOps), CVM satisfy technological, procedural, financial, regulatory requirements advance SHM serve template future initiatives.

Condition-Based Maintenance Plus and Maintenance Credit Validation
The Department of Defense (DoD) is currently maintaining the aircraft operability and functionality past the original design intention for many military aircraft. This practice imposes an additional burden on the inspection systems at the DoD logistic centers to ensure the aircraft in operation are airworthy and will be able to complete mission assignments for a specified period of time. Condit...
متن کاملNon-Intrusive Monitoring for Condition-Based Maintenance
The Navy’s Integrated Condition Assessment System (ICAS) is continuously evolving to meet the needs of today’s fleet as well as the requirements of future ship designs. This paper describes a technology known as the non-intrusive load monitor that could support the evolution of ICAS and other condition-based maintenance (CBM) systems. The non-intrusive load monitor (NILM) [8, 9, 10] can be used...
متن کاملAvailability analysis of mechanical systems with condition-based maintenance using semi-Markov and evaluation of optimal condition monitoring interval
Maintenance helps to extend equipment life by improving its condition and avoiding catastrophic failures. Appropriate model or mechanism is, thus, needed to quantify system availability vis-a-vis a given maintenance strategy, which will assist in decision-making for optimal utilization of maintenance resources. This paper deals with semi-Markov process (SMP) modeling for steady state availabili...

The development of structural health monitoring (SHM) technology has evolved for over fifteen years in Hong Kong since the implementation of the “Wind And Structural Health Monitoring System (WASHMS)” on the suspension Tsing Ma Bridge in 1997. Five cable-supported bridges in Hong Kong, namely the Tsing Ma (suspension) Bridge, the Kap Shui Mun (cable-stayed) Bridge, the Ting Kau (cable-stayed) B...
متن کاملCondition-based Maintenance Modelling
The use of condition monitoring techniques within industry to direct maintenance actions has increased rapidly over recent years to the extent that it has marked the beginning of what is likely to prove a new generation in production and maintenance management practice. There are both economic and technological reasons for this development driven by tight profit margins, high outage costs and a...
